Day Trips

  • Hike Liberty Falls and Crystalline trails

3. Drive northeast towards Slana and the Nabesna Road, gateway to Wrangell Saint Elias National Park. Richardson Hwy #4, Tok Cutoff #1, Nabesna Road.

  • Shop for Native Art in Chistochina, bronze sculpture in Slana
  • Visit Wrangell St. Elias National Park Slana Ranger Station
  • Photograph the views and wildlife
  • Hike the Skookum Trail
  • Flight see in the Park
  • Spend the night there, return to your home base the next day

4. Drive north to Paxson Lake and the Denali Highway, headwaters of the Bureau of Land Management’s Gulkana and Delta Wild and Scenic Rivers. Richardson Hwy #4, Denali Hwy #8.
